THE PACK, BECOMES EUROPE’S FIRST PLANT-BASED PET FOOD STARTUP TO GAIN B CORP CERTIFICATION
In becoming a B Corp, THE PACK is the first fully plant-based pet food startup in Europe to join the B Corp movement. Certified B Corporations are leaders in the global movement for an inclusive, equitable, and regenerative economy.
THE PACK particularly excelled in the area of environment underlining its commitment to tackling the climate crisis and all areas of environmental conservation.
Speaking about becoming a certified B Corp, Co-Founder Judy Nadel said:
“We are delighted to join the B Corp movement and become the first plant-based pet food startup in Europe to achieve B Corp status. In this era of greenwashing and spurious claims by many companies in the pet food space, it was important that THE PACK became a B Corp to demonstrate to consumers that we are truly committed to sustainability and good governance. We look forward to being a part of the B Corp community and setting the standards in sustainability in pet food for years to come.”
Other well-known names that have achieved B Corp status outside the pet food sector include The Body Shop, BrewDog, Ben and Jerry’s and Innocent Drinks; and within the pet food sector, other B Corp certified businesses include Lily’s Kitchen and Butternut Box.
They are to be commended for achieveing this coveted status as a sustainable company.
